Albemarle Department of Social Services and Charlottesville Department of Social Services held a Child Care Expo for area child care providers/vendors on Saturday, August 3, 2019. The event was held at the Albemarle County Office Building from 9:30 am to 2:30pm.
The Keynote Speaker was Keisha Yancey with Parent Educational Advisory Training Center (PEATC). PEATC provides support, education, and training to families, schools and other professionals committed to helping children with and without disabilities.
There were presenters from Albemarle and Charlottesville Fire Departments and Child Care Aware. Resource tables consisted of Virginia Institute for Autism, Infant and Toddler Connections, CERT – Emergency Preparedness, United Way as well as many more.
Child Care Providers received credit hours for their attendance and participation. They also were given tote bags full of valuable information, continental breakfast and lunch.
