Adult Services Forms Partnership to Help Keep Senior Citizens Warm
Many times senior citizens struggle with staying warm and retaining body heat. The Adult Services Program has joined with a community partner to provide fleece blankets to customers. The blankets are handmade by the community partner and are about the size of a throw blanket (3’X4’), large enough to cover half of the body when sitting in a chair. When a customer reports being cold, they are offered the blankets to supplement their heating source. If you know a senior and/or disabled Richmond City resident who could benefit from this free gift, please contact the Adult Services Program at 646-8865. The blankets are in limited supply; however, the community partner enjoys creating and providing blankets.

Other program criteria may apply. For additional information or to refer a customer, contact the Adult Services Program at 646-8865.
